Lauren Carlson was born in New Jersey and adopted to Tennessee – but having lived in Nashville since she was 3 months old, Lauren considers herself a true Tennessean. She graduated in 2021 from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a degree in International Relations and a secondary focus in French. At university, she was a member of the executive board of the Vietnamese Student Association.
A lover of the arts, Lauren performed in multiple dance groups in college and is a multi-instrumentalist, recently joining a Nashville-based community orchestra where she is mainly playing percussion instruments.
